Chapter 5: Materials

 

The material widget can be accessed through the project tree section, located on the left side of the main experiment window.

5.1 Material Widget

  1. Click on the drop down arrow next to Project Tree.

  2. In the sub sections, Double click on the Material option.

  3. The material widget window pops up.

  • Material list table contains all the materials used in the experiment.

  • In this version of Compliance-Scope, only Conductors and Non-Dispersive Dielectric (NDD) materials are supported


5.2 Loading material from the material library

  1. Click on the import icon to import material from the material list library.

  2. Select material from the material library and click the ‘Export’ button.

  3. Close material Widget window once all required materials are exported into the Experiment's Material list in materials Widget.


5.3 Adding new material to the material library

  1. Click on the add material button.

  2. Choose the material type using the drop down menu.

  3. If Conductor is chosen, specify conductivity. If Dielectric is chosen, specify Dielectric constant and loss tangent.

The materials added to the material library will be auto saved for future use.


5.4 Deleting material from the material list:

  1. Select the material to be deleted. and click the delete button.
